Two questions, two numbers

Rankings

These used to be one number and it produced nonsense: a team with a 95% chance of making the playoffs sat eighth, behind two teams under 30%. That is a fine judgment about who owns the best assets and a useless one about who is good right now. So there are two.

KeepTradeCut superflex

Straight percentile of what each team owns. Age is not a separate component here, because KTC already prices it: holding production equal, younger players in this league carry roughly double the value. Counting youth again on top would count it twice.

Where The Two Disagree

the interesting teams

A team high on one and low on the other is the whole reason these are separate. Positive means better now than later; negative means the opposite.

What Is Deliberately Missing

and why

No youth component

KTC already pays for age. In the 6 to 10 points per week band, younger players here carry 4,660 against 2,943 for older ones at the same production. An extra youth term counted that twice, and the old roster and youth components correlated at r = +0.54 because of it.

No lineup efficiency

It correlates −0.43 with roster value and +0.50 with points left on the bench, so it partly measures depth rather than decisions: a deep team benches good players and gets marked down for it. It stays on the record book as its own stat, with that caveat attached.
